Sherm founded
Danafilms in 1970 on three fundamental principles: innovation, integrity
and hard work. With only $15,000 in start-up capital, Sherm built
his first two lines out of angle iron and spare parts. During the
first year he worked 14 hour days running two lines, building a
third line, and making sales calls. He named the company after his
youngest daughter, Dana. Prior to founding Danafilms, Olson worked
as a mechanical engineer at Pratt & Whitney Aircraft and as a product
sales manager for Hobbs Manufacturing Company.
Bob is is an industry veteran with more than 50 years of experience
in the blown-film business. Prior to joining Danafilms in 1977,
Simoncini was sales manager at Hobbs Manufacturing Company and Davis-Standard.
Alan joined
Danafilms in 1974 and has worked his way from machine operator to
supervisor to general manager. He is now general manager of both
the Westboro and Franklin plants.
Steve holds
a bachelor's degree in management from the University of Massachusetts.
His previous experience includes sales management at USI Chemicals
and business director at Consolidated Thermoplastics. He has been
with Danafilms Inc. since 1992.
