History of Danafilms
Our consistent expansion program matches customer demand for a quality product with the right capacity. Our existing new facilities can accommodate enough additional lines to produce over 200 million pounds per year.

1970
Founded in 1970 in Marlboro, Masschusetts, Danafilms has been a custom supplier of extruded blown films for a diverse range of applications.

1977
Danafilms moved to a new 19,000 square foot location in Westboro, Massachusetts.

1987
We doubled our space to 38,000 sq. ft. through expansion to keep pace with our continued growth. This gave us the ability to offer larger diameter rolls -- up to 42 inches.

1993
We increased capacity by installing an 80 inch state-of-the-art extrusion line.

1994
Danafilms added an additional 80 inch line, doubling production output to 20 million pounds in just two years.

2000
Danafilms opened a second state-of-the-art 47,000 square foot manufacturing site in Franklin, Kentucky equipped with blown film technology on two of six bays. This expanded our capacity to 40 million pounds.

2001
Capabilities increase when the third state-of-the-art blown film line was added in the Kentucky plant. Producing the widest rolls in Danafilm's history (90"), our capacity grew to over 50 million pounds per year.

2002
The Westboro, MA facility achieved ISO 9001-2000 Certification. A vast array of new film analyzing equipment was added to the facility's sophisticated laboratory.

2005
A seven-layer blown film co-extrusion line was added to the Franklin, Kentucky plant increasing Danafilm's capacity to 56 million pounds per year.
