Danafilms Expands to Produce Multi-Layer Films with new Coex Line

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

(Westborough, Mass., March 8, 2007) Danafilms, Inc., a reliable, national leader in providing polyethylene film recently added a coextruder to its Franklin, Ky. facility. The new Windmoeller & Hoelscher seven-layer VAREX® blown-film extrusion line increases Danafilms ability to create multi-functional films.

Building upon a solid 35-year history of providing monolayer films to the industry, the new coextruder expands Danafilms’ ability to meet a full range of needs for converters in specialized markets. By producing coextruded, multi-barrier films with up to seven distinct layers, Danafilms provides barrier film solutions to meet the most demanding packaging requirements – incorporating properties like oxygen barriers, puncture resistance, and stiffness all in one.

Danafilms is committed to continually improve its facilities and provide the highest quality blown film products possible. They are equally pleased to announce that they are updating their Westborough, Mass. facility with a new, state-of-the-art monolayer line that will be placed into service in early September.

“This is an exciting piece of equipment, and we will continue to update this company,” said Alan Simoncini, general manager.
